About Us
A Community of Fear — For a Cause
The Flushing Trail of Terror is more than just a haunted trail — it’s a community tradition built on creativity, volunteer spirit, and a shared love of Halloween. Since its debut in the mid-2010s, the Trail of Terror has grown into one of Flushing’s most anticipated fall events, drawing hundreds of thrill-seekers each October.
Hosted by the Flushing Parks & Recreation Department and powered entirely by volunteers, the Trail of Terror transforms the Riverview Trail into a mile and a half of haunted woods, filled with terrifying scenes, eerie soundscapes, and unforgettable scares.
But behind the screams is a mission: to support and improve our local parks. Every dollar raised goes directly toward enhancing Flushing’s public spaces — from building pickleball courts to upgrading trails and playgrounds. Your ticket helps make it happen.
