Join the Scare Crew – Be Part of the Fear!
The Flushing Trail of Terror is a community-powered haunted experience — and we need your help to bring it to life! Whether you’re a behind-the-scenes builder, a master of makeup, or just love Halloween, there’s a role for everyone. No experience needed — just a willingness to help and have fun.
Volunteer Roles Include:
Scare Team
- Scarers & Actors – Get into costume and character to terrify (and entertain!) our guests.
- Makeup & Costume Crew – Help transform volunteers into monsters, zombies, and ghouls.
Setup & Teardown Crew
- Trail Builders – Construct sets, props, and scenes along the Riverview Trail.
- Decorators – Help dress the trail with spooky lighting, fog machines, and creepy details.
- Teardown Team – Assist with cleanup and packing up after the event.
Tech & Support
- Lighting & Sound Operators – Run effects and ensure the trail is dark, loud, and terrifying.
- Generators & Power Crew – Keep the lights on (and off) at just the right moments.

- Event Planners – Help organize logistics, schedules, and volunteer coordination.
- Marketing & Social Media – Promote the event, share updates, and build the buzz online.
- Fundraising Support – Assist with donation drives, sponsorship outreach, and community engagement.
Guest Services
- Ticketing & Check-In – Greet guests, scan tickets, and keep the line moving.
